November Employee Spotlight

Paul Anderson

⭐ EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT, NOVEMBER 2022 ⭐

Our first McGrew Equipment Employee Spotlight shines on Paul Anderson, our Auction Manager and Purchasing Agent. Paul is responsible for lotting the auction each week, supervising the auction crew, proofreading the catalogue, providing guidance to the marketing team, answering customer questions and addressing customers concerns. It doesn’t stop there—he also purchases used equipment for auction and retail. Things run more smoothly around McGrew Equipment thanks to Paul.

Paul started in the industry with us 3 years ago, after a decade of teaching middle school in Baltimore. He worked construction for a summer and then took over as our Information Specialist. He owns a small farm and nursery business with his wife, Erin. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar and writing songs. Some of his favorite memories are the years he spent playing guitar and bass in bands. Some of his coworkers may be surprised to know he makes great bagels, so when is breakfast on you Paul?

There are a few people he considers mentors in his career. Gary Knisley guides him through the ups and downs of the auction industry, Greg McGrew & Zach Thoman taught him how to buy equipment, Abraham Raum taught him how to talk to customers, and Zach Innerst helps him every day with mechanical concerns. His favorite part about the job is watching a piece of equipment he purchased sell for a healthy profit. Since beginning with McGrew Equipment, the biggest lesson he has learned is that he can handle just about anything.

Our auctions continue to be successful for both our employees and customers due to Paul’s hard work and dedication to the company. That is why we are proud to shine a spotlight on Paul this month, thank you for everything you do!
